Element and Friends


The notion that the Honda Element SUV is a different animal inspired a campaign in which the Element, taking on a personality of its own, would talk to other animals. The Element and Friends website sought to support this concept in a way that reflected the same irreverent spirit of the commercials.

With games such as Super Mario Brothers and The Legend of Zelda as points of inspiration, I designed a concept in which visitors would visit “Element Island” and set out to explore the different areas, each occupied by an animal.

Working with the Flash programmers, I established the game mechanics, controls and various interactions between the animals.

With the introduction of the Element SC in 2007, the island was updated with additional animals and an underground area that matched the vehicle’s urban expression.
